The foundation
Security is built in.
Ugla can learn new tricks. It can’t hand itself new permissions.
- Your box decides who gets inYour phone talks to your box over an end-to-end encrypted connection, and your box decides which devices get in.
- Your logins stay hidden from the AIUgla uses them to reach your services, without ever showing them to the AI model.
- Your rules, checked every timeEvery action is checked against your rules. No tool gets more access than you gave it, not on a second try and not by another route.
- Locked down, or not at allWhen Ugla runs a program for you, it runs in a sealed-off space that is checked first. If the check fails, the program doesn’t run.
- You have the final sayTake back access and new actions stop, even halfway through a routine.
Where your data lives and which AI model does the thinking are separate choices. If the AI model runs in the cloud, what the task needs goes to the company that runs it. With Ugla AI, it passes through our servers first, and we never store or log it. If the model runs on your own machine, the thinking stays there too.
There is no Ugla account to create and no separate password to remember.
What a box from Ugla means for your privacy
A box from Ugla, which is still in development, is one we run for you on a server we rent in Europe. We don’t keep any password or key that could sign in to it, and our service has no way to open your chats, memories or files.
But like any server in a data center, it can still be accessed by the people who run the hardware: our hosting provider, and us, through our account with them. So choosing a box from Ugla means trusting us and our hosting provider to run it responsibly.
If you want control of the hardware too, run Ugla on a machine of your own.
